Chad Ogle for Sevier County Sheriff.

Service Over Self. Proven Leadership. Local Roots.

Born as the youngest of five children to Joe and Anna Ogle. He was raised in Sevierville, where he proudly attended Sevier County High School. Chad Ogle has built his life around faith, family, and a deep commitment to his community.

Chad’s career in public service began inside the Sevier County Jail, where from 1992 to 1994 he worked as a corrections officer and gained a first-hand understanding of the responsibilities and challenges of law enforcement. In 1995 he entered the automotive industry and, through hard work and determination, rose from a sales position to become General Manager of a multi-line new car franchise. Those years taught him how to lead people, manage complex budgets, and run large operations—skills that now guide his vision for a modern, accountable sheriff’s office.

Even with a successful career in business, Chad felt a strong pull back to public safety. In 2014 he returned to the Sheriff’s Office as a corrections officer, later graduating from the Tennessee Regional Law Enforcement Academy and joining the patrol division. He continued to earn greater responsibility, completing SWAT School and serving as a team operator before advancing to Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, and ultimately Patrol Sergeant. His law enforcement journey—built on long hours, difficult calls, and steady leadership—has given him a deep respect for the men and women who keep Sevier County safe.

In 2022, the people of the 6th District placed their trust in Chad by electing him as County Commissioner, where he has worked to keep government transparent and responsive. Together with his wife Tiffany, who runs their family business C. Ogle Automotive in Seymour, Chad has built a life centered on service and community. They are the proud parents of nine children, all connected to Sevier County schools, and grandparents to eleven grandchildren.
